The importance of children eating a healthy, balanced diet cannot be overstated. It helps stabilise their energy, improve their minds, prevent disease and even balance out their moods. Healthy eating habits learnt as a child are also more likely to stay with you as an adult.
We have our own inhouse Chef who prepares delicious and nourishing, freshly cooked food. We take great care to offer nutritionally balanced 4 week rolling menus. They are constantly assessed, with feedback coming from both the staff in the rooms and the children themselves e.g.:
Leo – “I liked it because I had in a restaurant before” (tuna pasta);
Jack – “they were a little bit saucy & a little bit spicy, but not too spicy” (chicken fajitas).
We are keen for our children to understand about food, its progeny and the environment. As part of our continuing commitment to developing this understanding, we are building an entire new section of our garden to grow our own vegetables. We will also be doing our own composting and recycling rainwater wherever possible.
